Settore Cucina
Anche nella preparazione dei cibi, che vengono proposti all’attenzione dei buongustai durante le serate che preparano gli appuntamenti della Giostra, vengono confezionati, anche con l’ausilio di chef di indubbia esperienza, piatti tipici che ottengono il plauso incondizionato di quanti, in numero sempre elevato, siedono a tavola negli incontri serali.
Il Sestiere, come negli altri settori, intende portare avanti un progetto per avvicinare i più giovani e non verso questa attività che per il sestiere è basilare. Per raggiungere queste finalità, oltre che con l’ausilio di soci più anziani, che potranno mettere a disposizione la loro esperienza, andremo ad utilizzare anche la collaborazione di chef, che fornirà quelle nozioni di base per poter preparare i succulenti piatti della cucina abruzzese.
Kitchen sector
Even in the preparation of food, which are proposed to the attention of gourmets during the evenings that prepare the appointments of the Giostra, typical dishes are packaged, also with the help of chefs of undoubted experience, which obtain the unconditional approval of how many, in number always elevated, they sit at the table in the evening meetings.
The Sestiere, as in the other sectors, intends to carry out a project to bring younger people and not towards this activity which is fundamental for the sestiere. To achieve these goals, as well as with the help of older members, who will be able to make their experience available, we will also use the collaboration of chefs, who will provide those basic notions to be able to prepare the succulent dishes of Abruzzo cuisine.
Settore Sartoria
E’ uno dei settori cardini di tutta la Giostra Cavalleresca. Le nostre sarte hanno sviluppato una tale conoscenza e abilità nel confezionare i bellissimi costumi indossati nelle varie manifestazioni da dame, cavalieri, figuranti giovani e meno giovani. E’ un lavoro condotto con amorevole sollecitudine dalle sarte Rosanna Bonci e Anna Di Benedetto, coadiuvate da altre persone che occasionalmente prestano la loro opera.
I costumi realizzati in questi venti anni, si possono ammirare all’interno delle photogallery presenti nel sito. Alla luce di tal esperienza maturata, vogliamo far sì che anche le giovani generazioni possano apprendere le tecniche costruttive di un abito storico. Ciò sarà possibile attraverso dei processi formativi all’interno della sartoria, con l’ausilio delle sarte che cureranno la parte pratica di come confezionare un abito così impegnativo. Naturalmente andremo a coinvolgere anche figure più tecniche, come uno stilista, uno storico del costume, un disegnatore di bozzetti ecc..
Tailoring Sector
It is one of the key sectors of the whole Knightly Joust. Our seamstresses have developed such knowledge and skill in making the beautiful costumes worn in various events by ladies, knights, young and old figures. It is a work conducted with loving concern by the seamstresses Rosanna Bonci and Anna Di Benedetto, assisted by other people who occasionally lend their work.
The costumes created in these twenty years can be admired in the photogalleries on the site. In the light of this experience, we want to ensure that even the younger generations can learn the construction techniques of a historical dress. This will be possible through training processes within the tailor’s shop, with the help of the seamstresses who will take care of the practical part of how to make such a challenging dress. Of course we will also involve more technical figures, such as a stylist, a costume historian, a sketch designer, etc.
Settore Armeria e Lavorazione Cuoio
Questo settore ha un legame con quello della sartoria, per alcuni costumi che compongono il corteo storico. Difatti i costumi degli armigeri sono realizzati completamente con tale materiale. Inoltre il cuoio viene utilizzato per assemblare le cinte dei tamburini, i tiranti dei tamburi ed altri accessori utilizzati nei vari costumi. Questa particolare lavorazione, è condotta dal maestro Giuseppe Di Camillo, che ha realizzato tutti i manufatti in cuoio.
Quindi, come per gli altri settori, anche in questo il sestiere intende progettare delle attività didattiche finalizzate all’apprendimento delle tecniche di lavorazione di tale materiale. Le attività didattiche saranno tenute dal maestro Giuseppe Di Camillo, che dall’alto della sua esperienza in questo settore, trasmetterà le sue conoscenze tecniche di come lavorare questo materiale.
Armory and leather processing sector
This sector has a link with that of tailoring, for some costumes that make up the historical procession. In fact, the costumes of the armigers are made entirely with this material. In addition, the leather is used to assemble the belts of the drummers, the tie rods of the drums and other accessories used in the various costumes. This particular process is conducted by the master Giuseppe Di Camillo, who made all the leather products.
Therefore, as for the other sectors, also in this area the district intends to design educational activities aimed at learning the techniques of processing this material. The teaching activities will be held by master Giuseppe Di Camillo, who from the top of his experience in this sector will pass on his technical knowledge of how to work this material.
Settore Costruzione Tamburi
In questo settore particolare, da pochi anni è stata avviata una ricerca di come costruire e realizzare il tamburo storico. Il socio Nicola Paolilli, con caparbietà e capacità, è riuscito a costruire delle forme per realizzare il fusto del tamburo, e dei relativi accessori. Naturalmente, queste capacità si vogliono trasmettere a chi desidera impegnarsi in quest’attività, in particolare alle giovani generazioni.
Gli obiettivi che si vogliono realizzare con questo progetto, sono l’allestimento di uno spazio adeguato e delle attrezzature necessarie, dove poter lavorare e realizzare questi manufatti. Inoltre si effettueranno delle visite presso laboratori artigianali specializzati in questo settore.
Drum manufacturing sector

Partner Nicola Paolilli, with stubbornness and ability, managed to build shapes to make the drum shell, and related accessories. Naturally, these skills are intended to be passed on to those who wish to engage in this activity, in particular to the younger generations.
